Taniti is a small, remote tropical island in the Pacific, with less than 500 square miles! But don't let our size fool you! We boast sandy and rocky beaches, a small, safe harbor, lush rainforests, and a mountainous interior with an active volcano for all of your hiking needs! Taniti has an indigenous population of about 20,000 and until recently was known for fishing and agriculture!
While we consider the island safe and crimes are rare, there has been an increase in pickpocketing and other minor offenses. Therefore, we ask that you be mindful of your belongings and take every safety precaution possible to ensure the best safe stay.
